I think it started back playground in the '40's. The town is split almost exactly in half by raised railroad tracks, playground and folks either live on the "hill side" or the "river side." The Commode Bowl pits the Hillside Rams against the River Rats, and is basically an excuse for a bunch of middle-aged barflys to dress up in ridiculous clothes and run around a football field in front of a crowd of cheering "fans." |
