Selected insect samples were also analyzed by pyrolysis-GC-MS. Silkworm focal fatty sparing and earthworm generated fatty acids, sterols and phenol derivatives. Cicada nymph skin was analyzed by pyrolysis/GC/MS and generated mainly heterocyclic compounds.
