His portrayal of every actor he worked with that posed a threat to his ego was a disparaging one. His condescending tone towards some of the greatest film icons of time in my opinion portrayed him as ignorant and maybe even a little, dare I say, insecure. I am not trying to belittle this great man, which I in fact admire in many ways, I just think he wrote this book in the same way Hollywood captures a lot of true stories on film and I know for a fact that both of them have had the same motives in just about everything they've done ($).
