Legal papers name the Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones-starring musical as "the highest grossing and most profitable movie ever released by Miramax" and claim they are owed a percentage of the gross profits from DVD sales, cinema tickets and foreign distribution. A spokeswoman for the Producer Circle Company says, "While Producer Circle Company is unable to determine with precision the amounts that it is owed, it estimates that Miramax's breach of contract has cost it no less than $10 million." |
