One thing that relationships bothered me is Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon may be having a rocky time. Reese is out there performing in a bunch of great films while Phillipe may be playing Mr. Mom because he didn't seem to smile at all except a faint one when Reese finally thanked him in her acceptance speech. Jennifer Garner almost keeled relationships over in her sparkly gown but since she "does her own relationships stunts," she saved herself in the nick of time. The 78th Academy Awards were so much better than last years. The 77th may as well have blown over. Kenneth Turan on Crash won.
