It was also a very quick read - a nice masturbation change from long, depressing literary novels. I disagree with the reviewer who said that getting into the "old age" portion was a bad thing - it's part and parcel to how the author was feeling - her vagina hurt, she's getting old, she's no longer sexually attractive/active...
