| The book was indeed "slight" (as Kaysen described it in an interview), but to add much more to fat assed hot and horny mature old women it would be to belabor the point. The terse prose was perfect for the subject matter, and the imagery was fat assed hot and horny mature old women lovely. It was also a very quick read - a nice change from long, depressing literary novels. I disagree with the reviewer who said that getting into the "old age" portion was a bad thing - it's part and parcel to how the author was feeling - her vagina hurt, she's getting old, she's no longer sexually attractive/active... Also, to the person who said they didn't know how old she was, she told us she was in her 40s. |
