His bar condescending tone towards some of the greatest film icons of time in my opinion portrayed him as ignorant and maybe even a little, dare bar I say, insecure. I am not trying to belittle this great man, which I bar in fact admire in many ways, I just think he wrote this book in the same way Hollywood captures a lot of true stories on film and I know for a fact that both of them have had the same motives in just about everything they've done ($). Overall a very fun read, but I didn't feel I walked away with a good sense of who the man was. Was this review helpful to you? | The majority perigee trade of the book however composes mainly of fascinating stories and incidents that happened to him throughout his life. He talks about his philosophies and relationships in a way that makes him comparable to one of perigee trade the Greek philosophers or humanists. He himself says in the book that it is impossible for anyone to write objectively about themselves and he is no exception. There is no information on his family life which is justified by the fact that it is very personal to him and he has the right to do so, but for perigee trade readers that are looking for a well rounded and detailed account of a man who revolutionized the film industry with a new style of acting and became an icon for his lifestyle, this probably isn't a good source. Brando was very egocentric, and although he tries to belie that fact in his selective writings, this reader still thinks it shines through at moments. |
