The information on his childhood and early acting career, although not very comprehensive, offered a bit of interesting and fun insight to his life. The majority of the book however composes mainly of fascinating stories juvenile nonfiction and incidents that happened juvenile nonfiction to him throughout his life. He talks about his philosophies and relationships in a way that juvenile nonfiction makes him comparable to one of the Greek philosophers or humanists. He himself says in the book that it is impossible for anyone to write objectively about themselves and he is no exception. There is no information on his family life which is justified by the fact that it is very personal to him and he has the right to do so, but for readers that are looking for a well rounded and detailed account of a man who revolutionized the film industry with a new style of acting and became an icon for his lifestyle, this probably isn't a good source. Brando was very egocentric, and although he tries to belie that fact in his selective writings, this reader still thinks it shines through at moments.
