(Thus Camera/lens metaphor),...That revelation was a LONG time in coming. I picked this book up based on your previous book and the title. I had NO idea it was a voyage to your vulva and back.... Now, that out of the way. I was held captive by hardcover your honesty and the familiar sense of kinship with any woman who has had to endure a Pap smear. The story felt like it was very real and true to unedited thoughts/feelings/emotions and hardcover humor, in other words, your consciousness. I found it refreshing that you used "real" words... not euphamisms at every hardcover turn. I felt there were lapses where your life narrative should have been. Although it must FEEL(have felt) like you are(were) living life in a "tent" seeking relief... I felt the absence of whatever else was happening in your life. The friends seemed a bit one-dimensional-- in that they were only a sounding board for the vulva experience.
