| Oh my. What those editors did to that film should with be considered criminal. They butchered it. They hacked it to pieces like Republicans going after Affirmative Action. Those editors managed to make a beautifully crafted masterpiece into something disjointed and overwhelming average. By removing the with more detailed aspects of the sex scenes they cut away crucial parts of the movie that directly related to the plot and character with development. In the censored version they removed the opening sex scenes, which show Diego and Gael's characters going at it with their girlfriends, something I definitely would have remembered. Who can forget butts like that? But cute butts aside, those scenes were important because they introduce the characters to the audience, as horny teenage boys desperate to get laid, having sex artlessly but with a great deal of enthusiasm. As the movie evolves those images of them screwing like clueless bunnies are actually crucial in the overall interpretation of their characters. |
