advice: just keep talking. I think the more “dramatic” therapists are naturally in the public eye. Most psychotherapists do not pressure their patients to do anything in particular . . . because that is not psychotherapy, that’s sales.I think the value of emoting, venting and confronting is a hangover from the thrash-about hooter women 1970s.
