These days it's not enough to come from a family with high moral values, it's good for you that you do and you stick to those morals BUT the hard evidence is out there. A lot of children are not taught by their parents about protection as it is hard to judge when they are ready to learn. That is why it is important for the information to be given at a young age by educators, before they become sexually active, which believe it or not Monica, can be as young as 8 years. Parents will quite likely be unaware of their child becoming sexually active at such a young age, maybe because they don't want to believe it is possible. Most parents are happy for us to do these sessions If we as sex educators are allowed to at least get the ball rolling, it will make it easier for parents and guardians to maintain this education. |
