This was a mothering fun one, though I have to say we fell less in love with the city than I thought we would.2006--Chicago: This will be the first one I've missed. Last year, I sat down to write a proposal and realized I didn't want to do it. It's our spring break, and I wanted to go to Chicago more than the conference. It's our favorite city, after all. So, we're going to Chicago but not to the conference. I have plans to hit all my favorite places mothering I haven't seen since mothering grad school. And I'm hoping to make a real break out of it. No email and no laptop, some meandering. I'll probably submit something for next year, but for now, nothing. I'm looking forward to train rides and bookstores, all day long.
