Fuck. -- Last week I was up and moving early one morning, and decided I'd stop by our town's diner on my way to work. I love small-town diners. I have romantic ideas that they're full of locals who've always known each other, gossiping and talking current events over coffee and the local newspaper. Diners are Mayberry and Richard Russo novels, and every old black and white film on AMC. They're one of our last remaining links to the past, a simpler, more wholesome time.
