One of my friends said he’d better mention me by name in his acceptance speech, since I’ve been badgering people to read his books for so long. Very cool. If you haven't yet read Richard Russo, do yourself a favor and start with The Risk Pool. There's magic in all his books, but especially that one. -- Check this out. It's a discussion by nurses about the things that gross them out, and it's one of the more entertaining things I've come across in a while.
