Commercially available food analysis polyimide food analysis coated fused silica capillary tubing was statically coated with a polyethylene glycol type stationary phase. The columns were purged with nitrogen and subjected to thermal cross-linking. The resultant columns were subjected to extensive chromatographic testing to determine inertness, efficiency, polarity, temperature stability and suitability for the separation of fatty acid methyl esters.
